Jeongkon Choi started his studies at the University of Seoul in 2000 with the help of Professor Inhak Lee. Between 2007 and 2010 he studied under the tutelage of Professor Frieder Lang, Donald Sulzen and Fritz Schwinghammer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
He won second prize at the Richard Strauss Singing Competition in Munich and was the semi-finalist and finalist of the 61st International Music Competition ARD and the 4th International Singing Competition Vokal genial in Munich. His repertoire includes Die Zauberflöte, Roméo et Juliette and Der Idiot, which he performed in cooperation with the Nationaltheater Mannheim. Besides many solo concerts he also took part in the recording of Richard Strauss' songs with Professor Wolfram Rieger.
