Belgian tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, was awarded the Caecilia Prize by the Belgian press in 2017 and has worked with conductors such as William Christie and Philippe Herreweghe. In 2016, he founded his own ensemble, a nocte temporis (meaning “since the beginning of time”), with the aim of presenting early music with a historical background and to touch the emotions of as wide an audience as possible. He has gathered around him musicians who share this passion. Their concert in Solti Hall will include two Bach cantatas and a Hoffmann cantata, as well as the Suite in B minor.
