From the Liszt Academy to the Liszt Academy
Music history walks with Ádám Bősze
We invite you on a musical voyage of discovery to the Districts VI and VII of the capital, where composers such as Ferenc Liszt, Gustav Mahler, Béla Bartók and Leó Weiner lived and worked. We will pass by the St. Teresa Church (the interior was designed by Mihály Pollack), Liszt Ferenc Square, walk along Király Street and Andrássy Avenue, and visit the old Adolf Lang building of the Liszt Academy and the new building designed by the duo Flóris Korb and Kálmán Giergl. We will spend two meaningful hours together, listening to interesting stories and life stories, and getting to know the familiar buildings from a musical point of view. The walk starts at 11 am from the Music Second-hand Bookshop (1077 Budapest, Király street 77, entrance from Csengery street) and ends at the main building of the Liszt Academy on Liszt Ferenc Square.
