Most of the young singers will take to the stage in Budapest in August
For the Fourth Éva Marton International Singing Competition, 79 young singers selected by the pre-selection committee last year have confirmed their intention to appear in the first live rounds between 29 August and 5 September 2021. Thanks to a continuous flow of information provided by the organisers, competitors are kept up-to-date on current regulations and competition management options. Last year’s competition, which was cancelled because of the pandemic, is to be held this year instead.
In view of the pandemic, the Liszt Academy will hold the Fourth Éva Marton International Singing Competition in compliance with all public health measures, while making every effort to create a level playing field for all competitors. The competitors will be physically present at the competition venue. If the situation requires it, we will only allow the jury to enter the venue and the competition may thus take place without audiences being physically present in the concert hall.
Nevertheless, audiences will be able to view the competition on the internet regardless of the pandemic: each round will be made available throughout the world via high-quality online stream, just as with the Third Éva Marton International Singing Competition in 2018.
In managing the competition, the Liszt Academy will take the utmost care to keep competitors, jury members and audiences safe.
