Cheung Viola is the first on stage in the preliminary

The youngest contestant, 20-year-old Ukrainian baritone, Mykyta Kiyashchenko ​​draw the Number 13 from the glass bowl, so Cheung Viola chinese soprano is on stage tomorrow as the first contestant in the preliminary at the Solti Hall of the Liszt Academy of Music.

Others will follow in alphabetical order to the end of the alphabet and restart from the beginning. This order of appearance will be valid during the whole competition.

"You are all very talented, believe in yourself, I have heard all of you - said Éva Marton - recreate the roles with your talent, and give your personality to the parts "  

The show for the semi-finals consists of 32 Liszt songs and 125 arias from 88 operas. Candidates will present a Liszt-song and one of the two arias of their choice. The second aria will only be performed if requested by the jury.

Unlike the published program, the first semi-final will not start at 2 pm, but at 6 pm, as one of the jury members, Larissa Gergieva will only arrive in Budapest on Monday due to unexpected obstacles.
