Pål Christian Moe

Born in Oslo, after his studies in English and American literature at the University of London he began his professional career at the Oslo Opera House with stage management and dramaturgy. He then worked for five years as Head of Vocal productions with Deutsche Gramophon Gesellschaft in Hamburg, which was followed by ten years as Directeur de la programmation at the Opéra National de Paris. Since 2004 he has worked freelance for a number of institutions as a consultant, specialised in casting. After three years at the Lyric Opera of Chicago he has had a long-term and still on-going relationship with the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. He also consults for Glyndebourne Festival Opera and L'Opéra de Lille.
