The tenor was born in 1989 in Taean, South Korea. He has been a student in the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim since 2018 Summer semester with Prof. Snežana Stamenković. He was a student in Seoul National University from 2009 until 2016. He has taken part in numerous competitions, most recently he won 2nd prize at the 22nd “Città di Alcamo” International Singing Contest in 2019, at the Seil Competition in 2015, at the Gloria Opera Vocal Competition in 2015 and the Grand Prize in Umjung-Heung Competition in 2014. Since he moved to Germany he sang in Gala concert in the Dresdner Residence Concert at the Zwinger in 2017 and at “Juwelen der Oper” with the Dresdner Residence Orchestra in 2018. He performed in 2019 at the Mannheim National Theater with the Mannheim Opernschule Productions and has held many concerts as a Wagner Scholar. In 2020 he had an invitation from the Frankfurt Opera.
