He started his piano studies at the Barsegh Kanachyan Art School, where he received an honour’s degree in 2014. In 2012, he had started taking vocal classes as well at the same institution, but since 2015, he has been a voice student of the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan. In 2013, at the Renaissance Festival of Gyumri, he was celebrated as silver medallist, then in 2014, at the 6th Gohar Gasparyan National Opera Competition, he came third. At the 7th Tatevik Sazandaryan Vocal Competition, he was awarded first place and also won the 13th Aram Khachaturian International Singing Competition. With the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Eduard Topchyan, he performed excerpts from Rigoletto and La bohème.
