The Pécs-born soprano began her musical studies with the piano, and after the Pécs Secondary School of Arts, she pursued further qualifications at the Liszt Ferenc Academy Music, first earning her BA in Classical Singing, then an MA in Oratorio and Lied Singing, finally she was admitted to opera singing under the guidance of Éva Marton. She received a Niveau Prize at the 3rd Szeged Contemporary Music Competition in 2011, and a year later, came first at the 5th National Singing Competition. In 2015, she was silver medallist at the International Contemporary Singing Competition. She has attended Éva Marton, Mária Temesi, István Andrejcsik, Andrea Rost, Szilvia Sass and Nicholas Clapton’s masterclasses. Ms Megyimórecz has often collaborated with the pianist Tamás Érdi and has taken to the stage of the Hungarian State Opera, the Budapest Music Centre, Pesti Vígadó, Pécs National Theatre, has been on the M5 channel of the Hungarian Television and has given recitals in several concert halls abroad.
