Maria Salečić is a fourth-year student of Solo Singing at the University of Zagreb, Academy of Music in the class of prof. Martina Gojčeta Silić. During the last three years, she have participated in 5 academic stage projects and 4 external ones. The crown of her professional effort is the performance of Poem for Soprano and Chamber Orchestra at Zagreb Music Biennale 2021, conducted by mo. Matija Fortuna.

Also, she have attended the seminars of Krešimir Stražanac, Mihailo Arsenski and mo. Hervé Niquet.

Among her performances, she would like to point out the role of Mollie in the opera Animal Farm performed in November 2021, in front of a full auditorium of the largest Croatian concert hall – Vatroslav Lisinski, conducted by mo. Mladen Tarbuk and directed by Krešimir Dolenčić. Also, in the summer 2021, she performed with the Symphony orchestra on the summer stage in the town of Vis. The repertoire consisted of famous opera arias, duets and quartets (Mozart, Verdi, Puccini). In the same city she sang in Vivaldi’s Gloria, together with a baroque ensemble gathered from young graduate musicians, for two years in a row. In the autumn 2021, the music trio she gathered held its first concert in Blato on the island of Korčula.
