Seungri Kim, soprano, was born on March 30th, 1993 in South Korea. She started singing at the age of 18 and began her musical education with Prof. Wookyung Kim at Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea.
Since 2019, she has been studying singing in music theater with Prof. Susanne Kelling at the University of Music in Nuremberg.
She received additional impulses in various master classes, e.g. led by Susanne Kelling.
She was already on the opera stage in 2016 (Korea National Opera) as Knabe in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”, in 2017 (Hanyang University) as Adina in Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore”, in 2018 (Korea National Opera) as Papagena in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”. In addition, she received an award as one of the finalists in the international singing competition – Concorso Internazionale Lirico “Città di Brescia” omaggio a Maria Callas – in 2020.
