He was born in Leningrad (St. Petersburg) in 1986. He graduated from the Glinka Choral School (Academic Chorus Conducting Department) in 2005 and from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory in 2010. He has worked with renowned conductors such as Paolo Arrivabeni, Leo Krämer, Fabio Mastrangelo, Kent Nagano, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Alexander Rudin, Māris Sirmais, Alexander Vedernikov, Dmitry Yurovsky and Vladimir Yurovsky, as well as such ensembles as the Bach Collegium Japan and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. In 2015, he became soloist with the Mikhailovsky Opera in St. Petersburg, performing in several tenor roles. That year, he studied at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala. In 2016, he became the first laureate of the Onegin National Opera Award, in 2018, was awarded the first prize at the Georg Ots International Music Festival-Competition and a special prize at the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. Among his recent engagements are performances at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, at Grand Théâtre de Genève, at Théâtre du Capitole (Toulouse) and at Ópera Nacional de Chile, among others.
