The bass-baritone was born in 1993 in Busan (South Korea), graduated from the local art high school and is still studying on a scholarship at the Seoul National University between 2012 and 2016, and was a member of the opera studio at the Berlin Komische Oper between 2019 and 2021. In recent years, he has won the Grand Prize of the Korean Minister of Culture, as well as several awards at Korean competitions and at the Kaleidoscope Competition in Los Angeles. His professional experiences as stage perfomances at the Berlin Komische Oper - including Figaro at June 2021- as well as at the Macau Cultural Centre and at the Kaohsiung Center for the Arts in Taiwan. His repertoire includes Zaretsky from Eugene Onegin, Comissionario in La Traviata, Il conte di Ceprano and A Court Usher in Rigoletto, Zweiter geharnischter Mann in Die Zauberflöte, Le médecin and Berger in Pelléas et Mélisande and the Keeper of the Madhouse in The Rake’s Progress. He got a special prize at Belvedere Competition in June 2021.
