The British baritone joined the National Opera Studio in London as a Young Artist in 2020/21. He is a Britten Pears Young Artist, an alumnus of the Verbier Festival’s Atelier Lyrique and a graduate of the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he studied with Scott Johnson. He holds a Masters in Vocal Performance from the Royal Academy of Music and previously read French & Italian at Magdalen College, Oxford University. He was finalist of the 39th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition at Dzintari Hall in Latvia, the Wagner Society Singing Competition at the Wigmore Hall where he was awarded 2nd Prize & the Bayreuth Festival Award. He performed in many operatic roles at different venues, including the RCS/Berlin Opera Festival, the Clonter Opera, the Hampstead Garden Opera, the Wexford Festival Opera and the Verbier Festival. He has performed also in recital and participated in master classes with Bryan Hymel, Thomas Hampson, Thomas Quasthoff, Barbara Frittoli, Sarah Connolly, Karen Cargill, Mark Padmore, Felicity Lott, Sarah Walker and Hilary Summers, among others.
