Russian mezzo-soprano Ksenia Chubunova was born in 1991 in Moscow. She has studied at the vocal department of the Moscow State Music College P. Tchaikovsky from 2010 to 2013 and at Moscow Conservatory from 2013 to 2014. During this time she also took private lessons with Galina Borisova. In 2013 she became a finalist of the Sacred Music Competition in Rome. In the season 2013/2014, she took part in performances at the Moscow Lutheran Cathedral. She has been a student at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, Germany in the class of prof. Gundula Schneider. During this time, she sang in different concerts and stage performances. She is a Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Fund scholar. She took part in master classes held by Marjana Lipovšek, Michaela Schuster, Éva Marton and Jennifer Larmore. From September 2016, she studies at the Universität de Künste Berlin in the class of prof. Robert Gambill.
