She was born in 1991 in Hong Kong, having finished her bachelor studies at the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015, her master studies at Codarts, Rotterdam in 2017 as well as at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2020. She took part in master classes by Luciana Serra, Roberta Alexander, Lynne Dawson, Ira Siff, Emilio Pons, Marcel Reijen, Henk Neven, Frans Huijts, Tobias Berndt, Dwight Coleman, and Lidia Vinyes Curtis.
She has performed more than twenty premieres in the Netherlands. Her successful debuts include the Opera Forward Festival of Dutch National Opera and in Muziekgebouw, Amsterdam. She has published her first master’s research on extended vocal techniques in modern operas under the coaching of Nicole Jordan. She was chosen in music documentary, Young Music Maker 2015, by Radio Television Hong Kong. Currently coached by Maartje Rammeloo and Anka Koziel, Cheung is taking on The Magic Flute country tour. Cheung was also touring with a team in sixteen cities of the Netherlands and Belgium.
