The Chinese tenor started playing the flute at the age of 9, then, at the age of 17, he began taking singing lessons from his mother, a singer at the Beijing Opera House. In 2010, he was admitted to the Stanislaw Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdansk, in the class of Piotr Kusiewicz.. He debuted in the role of Roberto in Le Villiby Puccini in the Baltic State Opera with great acclaim. He also collaborated in Gianni Schicci and Cosí fan tutte. Jingxing Tan was a invited to the 52nd Music Festival in Łańcut to sing Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, and then later that year, in December 2013 he started his tour with the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in China as the tenor soloist of Symphony No. 9 by Beethoven. He participated in several masterclasses, among others, at those held by Francisco Araiza, then he went on to the M.A. program of the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart to be instructed by the said excellent Mexican tenor. He has been a successful candidate of several singing competitions.
