Mr Lee began his higher education in music at Yeungnam University from where he graduated in 2009. The following two years were spent in military service, and in 2013, he was taking performance and vocal technique classes from Raina Kabaivanska in Modena, Italy. In 2015, he was admitted to the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan. He completed his studies this year. Between 2012 and 2017, he was a finalist in thirteen international singing contests and came first in six other vocal competitions. He made his debut on the opera stage in South Korea as Germont in La traviata. Since then, he has featured as Schaunard in La bohème by Puccini, as Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana by Mascagni and Belcore in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore as well as Malatesta in Don Pasquale. This year, he acted as Scarpia in Verdi’s Tosca and Escamillo in Carmen.
