In Peru Mr Lara studied philosophy and music aesthetics until he came to Norway where he has been a student at the Norwegian Academy of Music since 2013 until this year. As for his repertoire, he has worked mostly with Baroque music, but he is also deeply interested in contemporary music, improvisation, and cross-over musical performances. In addition, Mr Lara co-founded the Baroque ensemble “Amore Torna” in 2015 and the project “Kon-Tiki” in 2017, which focusses on the Latin American Baroque repertoire. He has a personal project called “Nousikk”, which develops the idea of the “common musical intuition of life” through the performance of a varied repertoire in chamber music contexts, combined with other art forms, like dance, storytelling, etc.
