At the age of nine, Mr Kushlyk entered the Ternopil Music College on the specialty of conducting. Since 2014 he has been studying at the National Academy of Music named after Mykola Lysenko in Lviv at the Department of Solo Singing. He has sung in many concert halls and venues in Ukraine and abroad. In 2016, he came to Budapest to perform a Ukrainian song cycle, and more recently, he sang the tenor solo part in Dvořák’s Stabat Mater in his home country. His repertoire includes Rodolfo from La bohème, Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Alfredo in La traviata. Ernesto in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale or the title role of Gounod’s Faust. In 2016 and 2017, he participated in the masterclass of British baritone of Ukrainian origin, Pavlo Hunka, while in February, 2018, he attended the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland within a student exchange programme.
