In 2017 she graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow under the guidance of Irina Dolzhenko, a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In her last year of university, Ms Fomina was a soloist of the Gnessin Opera Studio where she sang Cherubino in the Russian-language production of Mozart`s Le nozze di Figaro. In April 2016, she took part in masterclasses with vocal coaches of the Parma Conservatory of Music, and in August the same year, she won the 2nd Prize of the International Muzyczny Ogrod Liczyrzepy Vocal Competition. In February 2017, she attended the winter workshops of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Poland and in August, she took part in a workshop with Matthias Henneberg at the Dresden Royal Conservatory. Since October last year, Ms Fomina has been pursuing studies under the tutelage of Elena Rubin in Saint Petersburg.
