The American baritone was born in Kansas City, Missouri and holds a master’s degree in Voice Performance from Northwestern University. While there, he was awarded the coveted Bienen School of Music Eckstein Fellowship. A recent graduate of Philadelphia’s prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts, he is the 1st prize winner of the Voice Competition “Young Patronesses of the Opera”, of the Vero Beach Rising Stars Competition, 2nd prize winner of the Nicola Martinucci Competition in Lucca, Italy, a top prize winner and audience choice award winner of the Paris Opera Awards, and was a national semi-finalist in the Metropolitan Opera’s National Council Auditions. In the 2019–2020 season, he joined the Lyric Opera of Chicago and made his debut at the Opera Philadelphia and at the Indianapolis Opera, after perfoming in several roles at the Academy of Vocal Arts. Career highlights include roles in La traviata, West Side Story, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, Gianni Schicchi, Il trovatore and Così fan tutte.
