The mezzosoprano was raised in Mannheim, Germany, and studied at the University of Music in Karlsruhe with Prof. Maria Venuti and at the University of Music in Mannheim with Prof. Snezana Stamenkovic. She took part in masterclasses by Edith Wiens, Margreet Honig and Corradina Caporello, and was invited to the Lied-Academy of the Spring Festival Heidelberg to work as a scholar with Thomas Hampson and Thomas Quasthoff. Since 2013 she has been studying with Andreas Poulimenos and Carol Vaness at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, Bloomington, and attended the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie at Neumarkt, performing in various roles as a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. She has performed at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and at the Baden-Baden Easter Festival with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as in other prestigious venues. Since 2016/17 she has been a principal of the Opera Zurich. Among her competition successes are the Charlotte-Hamel Prize at the 41st National Singers Contest Berlin in 2012 as well as two special prizes at the Belvedere Competition in 2018, including an invitation to the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
