Kim Seok Jun studied at Yonsei University’s College of Music under La Kyung-Hye, and graduated in 2020. He won first prizes in the JoongAng, the Suri, and the Seongjeong Music Competitions, as well as second prize in the Dong-ah Competition. He has attended masterclasses by Kwangchul Youn, Hyekyung Hong, Samuel Youn and Marcelo Amaral. He made his debut in the opera studio of the Korea National Opera. Currently he studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg under Brigitte Geller. As a member of the opera studio of the Staatstheater Nuremberg in the season 2023/24, he sang as a soloist in concerts and performed in Le nozze di Figaro and Lohengrin, among other operas. In 2024 he will sing in Mathis der Mahler, Nabucco, Parsifal, Die Zauberflöte, Macbeth and Der fliegende Holländer. He will start to work as a member of the bass soloist ensemble in the Nuremberg State Theatre in 2024/25 season.
